Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born March 4, 1954), is a Canadian-American actor and comedian. O'Hara is the proud winner of many distinctions that include a Genie Award. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada. Then, in 2020, she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara first drew notice as an actor in the year 1974, as she was a part of The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also in her main cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara began working with Candy on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara was acknowledged for her stand-up comedy and writing talents, winning the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Writing for Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
